I would attempt to _________ if I knew I would not fail.
Yesterday I posted the question above on the At Peace Arts fan page. I was amazed & inspired by the responses. From wanting to live in the islands to writing a book to being an actress/singer/songwriter…I could feel that each “attempt” came from a place of love & desire.
What immediately came to mind was “Why are we so afraid to take the leap to do the things that make our hearts smile HUMONGOUS?” I mean, we KNOW we will be happy if we do that one thing! Maybe because it feels like just that…A leap! Lets be real, when we become adults, the last thing we want to do is fall, or in this case, fail. After all, we ARE higher up from the ground than when we were kids!
So maybe it would be easier for us to think of attempts as tiny baby steps that lead to the big leap. We could read up on what it’s really like to live in the islands, write for just 10 minutes every day or take some acting/ singing/ songwriting classes!
Soon all of these baby steps add up & give us the courage we need to leap into what really makes our souls sing!
You deserve it!
What AWESOME leap are you taking baby steps towards?
Proclaim it here & let’s keep one another motivated!
(Most times, just saying it out loud is a big leap in itself!)
A little something to take on your journey…
The question for each man to settle is not what he would do if he had means, time, influence and educational advantages; the question is what he will do with the things he has. The moment a young man ceases to dream or to bemoan his lack of opportunities and resolutely looks his conditions in the face, and resolves to change them, he lays the corner-stone of a solid and honorable success.
